Look what we're doing with technology!

Our Self-Portraits!

For the past couple of years, I've asked the 1st graders to draw their self-portraits in Microsoft Paint. We take a couple of weeks in order to pay close attention to detail. Then all are combined into a class collage, printed, and sent home with each student. Here are the pictures from the class of 2025.

We've Created ePub Books!

The students read part of, It Could Have Been Worse, by A.H. Benjamin and were asked to predict what might happen next in the story. They were asked to use the Book Creator app on the iPad to write, draw, and record their predictions.

Please see the blog post, It Could Have Been Worse: Making Predictions using Book Creator, for directions on how to download and view the books.

We are Thankful!

For International Dot Day, the first Graders read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds then colored a dot picture. Then they used the ColAR Mix app to watch their drawing come to life!
