Fourth Graders: Taking a Look Back and Looking Forward to the Future

The fourth graders were asked to reflect on a couple of things: their favorite activities from the Lower School years and what they might want to do when they graduate from college. The pictures were drawn using Microsoft's Paint program and then added to the Book Creator app.

The work has been saved in two formats. The ePub book must be opened on an iOS device. Be sure to have iBooks installed. Choose Download then Open in iBooks. The second format is a video that has been uploaded to the school's Vimeo account.

Click here to read more about the process involved in making the books and videos.

Enjoy!

What Can You Do With a Squiggle?

Students were presented with a squiggle and asked to create a drawing from it in the Microsoft Paint program. You will be amazed at what they did! Read the blog post, What Can You Do With a Squiggle or Two, for more information about the process.

Oh, The Thinks You Can Think!

To celebrate Dr. Seuss, the 4th graders came up with some very interesting inventions. Click here to learn more about the process. Enjoy the videos!

Remember you'll need to be on an iOS device with the iBooks app installed. Choose Download then Open in iBooks. (Some students were absent during the making of the eBooks so if you are missing your child's work, that is the reason.)

A Year of Snow Pals

Mr. d'Auteuil's class drew snow people to match their birthday month. They then wrote a Haiku poem about that month. The pictures were imported into the ChatterPix Kids app where the students recorded their poems. All were combined in iMovie to produce A Year of Snow Pals!

Paper Blogging

To prepare for online blogging, the 4th graders practiced writing quality posts and comments. Here's a video of the process.
