A Glimpse at Technology in Third Grade!
What's more fun than Legos? Adding a stop-motion app to record the building process! We used the MyCreate app to make stop motion videos.
Check out this blog post
to learn more about the process. Enjoy!

We love Dr. Seuss! When the third graders came to the lab, we read I Wish That I Had Duck Feet, by Dr. Seuss, a fun book about a boy who wishes he had various animal parts. The students were asked to think of an animal part they'd like to have then tell the pros and cons of having that particular part. We used the Book Creator app to illustrate and record the fun ideas. The individual books were combined into class books that can be read in the iBooks app. They were also saved as videos to be viewed on any computer or mobile device.
If you are downloading the ePub books, remember that you need to click on the book link while on an iOS device having the iBooks app. Choose download and open in iBooks. (We had several children absent on the day that we made the books. If you don't see your child's work, that is the reason.)
