Look what we've been creating!
For our last week in the lab, the kindergarteners were introduced to Ozobots, tiny robots that read color combination codes to act in particular ways. Enjoy this video about the students' experiences. Read more about what we did by clicking here.

After their play, The Great Fuzz Frenzy, the students used the Book Creator app to illustrate a favorite part and record something about it. Their work was combined into a class book and saved in two formats (ePub book to be read in iBooks and as a video). This was our first time to use the app so it was a lot to accomplish in a 30 minute time period, but the children did a great job. Mrs. Newton's class had some wonderful helpers - Mrs. Shapard's second graders paired up with the kindergarteners and guided them in making the book. Click here to read more about the process. (There were a couple students absent the afternoon that we made the books.)
The video is not the best quality only because of the app. If you are on an iOS device, you might prefer downloading to iBooks and viewing the book that way.
To download the eBook, you'll need iBooks downloaded on your iOS device (iPad, iPhone). While on the iOS device, click on one of the links below. Choose download then "Open in iBooks."
